Outlaw's Bride, The

Beautiful painting, unsigned but since identified as being by the Italian artist Cesare Auguste Detti(1847-1914), mounted on solid mahogany and cut in a semi-interlocking style, very unusual for this manufacturer whose normal cutting style would not include this technique, but would in most cases include whimsies, or figurals, which are notably absent from this example.
A box-price of 5/-, seems to date this puzzle to c1915, according to this Zig-Zag Puzzles Flyer from that same year.
