Poppy Field, The

127 piece ceramic tile puzzle, featuring a famous c1873 painting by Claude Monet. The puzzle is housed in a hexagonal, velvet covered, hinge-lidded display case. The lid also houses a smaller scale colour guide image, cleverly inset into a hexagonal opening, with a tightly push-fit cover to match the box lining material.

When I acquired this puzzle, secondhand, it was already assembled in the box, but the more I looked at it, the more I realised that all was not as it should be, particularly in the sky! Several days later, and having examined it in a multitude of different lighting conditions, I think that part is now right. As every piece fits in every place, in six different orientations, the permutations are enormous. Good fun though! Still not sure whether all the poppies are correct!
