Geographical Map Puzzle of England and Wales, The

Small wooden jigsaw puzzle by Raphael Tuck, marketed as being from their "Zag-Zaw" range, although the cutting style is unlike the majority of these. The puzzle is estimated to be of c1920s manufacture. Priced at 2/6 in one of their 1916 catalogues, this example shows a price of 5/- on the box-base label, hence the estimation of this later date.
The puzzle is cut into four outer quadrants, the remainder then being cut into their individual counties. The original map was published by Geographia Ltd, of 55 Fleet Street, London., themselves also jigsaw puzzle producers of the era.
