Labrador Zag-Zaw

The four 200 piece Zag-Zaw plywood jigsaw puzzles in this series were produced to benefit the missionary work of the Grenfell Association, founded by Sir Wilfred Grenfell in 1914.
They each feature artistic scenes relating to him, and his work in the Labrador and Newfoundland region and contain a selection of suitably themed Whimsies, or figural shaped pieces. A leaflet/order form found in one of the boxes promotes the other titles available and also quotes for nearly 40 years Sir Wilfred Grenfell has been at work amongst the English speaking fishermen of Labrador and Newfoundland. Given that he was originally sent to Newfoundland in 1892, I estimate these four puzzles to have been produced around 1931/32.
