Missing Piece Puzzle, The

We all know the frustrations of jigsaw puzzles with missing pieces, well here is an example of how to market them from the off. Whether these were puzzles known to have had a missing or damaged piece from manufacture or perhaps through customer returns is uncertain, but clearly the management at Tuck's were not prepared to confine such puzzles to the dustbin or bonfire, choosing instead to market them with their identified fault. The first two examples seen both feature scenes from the company's "Dickens Coaching" series, so whether they employed this policy across the whole product range is not yet known. Both were 150 piece examples carrying labels recording an amended piece count of 149.
