By the Zuider Zee

This 53 piece solid-wood puzzle is missing its original box-label, but came in the pictured Zag-Zaw box. The title is thought to read By the Zuider Zee, featuring the former Dutch bay, which ceased to exist with the building of the dam Afsluitdijk in 1932. Unlike the majority of British examples, the wood and cutting technique on this puzzle are more akin to that of the German puzzles. See the example David Copperfield on his way to School.
