13101. Flying Scotsman

A depiction of the 17p stamp in the 'Famous Trains' commemorative set designed by Terence Cuneo.

This shows the Flying Scotsman being pulled by Pacific A4 Class Loco no. 4498, Sir Nigel Gresley which was built in 1937 and holds the post war speed record of 112mph achieved in 1959. It still exists today and is maintained by a charity.
