Pedley, Eric

Many of Eric Pedley's superb wooden jigsaw puzzles were commissioned by the British Jigsaw Puzzle Library, but his extraordinary talent and flair for the unusual have influenced me to create his own dedicated album to showcase as many as possible examples of his work.

I have also been contacted by members of his family who have very kindly provided me with images and comprehensive details of a further 24 examples of his work, mostly made for them during the 1970s and 1980s. These will all find there way on to the Jigasaurus over the coming weeks.

A former maths teacher, Eric clearly paid great attention to each image, before setting about his work, often incorporating extraordinary cutting patterns and styles to further illustrate the subject of the artwork. The majority have an interlocking edge but, within that border, just about every other conceivable technique may well be applied! Quite brilliant.
